How to get your Google review link
A Google review link opens the "write a review" box for your business, so a customer can leave a review in a few taps instead of hunting for your listing.
Way 1: copy it from your Business Profile
- Sign in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile.
- Search for your business name on Google.
- Find Ask for reviews (sometimes labeled Get more reviews) and copy the short link. It looks like
g.page/r/XXXX/review.
Google's panel may also show a QR code. Some sources report that this QR option is only offered on a computer, not on phones, so the free generator on this site can help if you work from a phone.
Way 2: build it from your Place ID
- Find your Place ID with Google's Place ID Finder (see how to find your Place ID).
- Add it to the end of this address:
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=
The generator on this site does that for you.
Test it before you share it
- Open the link on a phone. It should show a review box for your business, not a different or duplicate listing.
- If the person isn't signed in to Google, Google will ask them to sign in first. That is normal.
A common mistake
A shortened Maps share link, such as one starting with maps.app.goo.gl, opens your listing but doesn't hold your Place ID, so it is not a review link.
When you start asking for reviews, follow Google's Maps contributed content policy: no incentives, and ask every customer, not only happy ones.
